Three. That is how many HIGH-confidence picks the bot has on tonight's four-game slate — the largest single-night HIGH cluster in about ten days. The framework's job on nights like this is to figure out which HIGHs are clean and which have red flags, then size accordingly.
Two make the cut at half stake. One gets PASSed. Here is the full read.
LVA at Washington. Spread LVA HIGH, model edge +5.80. Market has this as WAS -0.9 at home; model has LVA -6.7. Neither team has star injuries flagged in the picks file. Vegas is coming off a 26-point win at Toronto on Sunday with Wilson back at full minutes and looking like the version of Vegas that has ruled the West for four years. Washington is a bottom-quartile defensive team.
The agent aligns. IND-quarter-signal-style check on the LVA card returns two HIGH edges — LVA Q1 +3.80 and LVA Q2 +4.40 — both on the Vegas side, both indicating LVA controls the first half of this game. No conflict, no injury dominance, no struggling-team flag. Clean HIGH.
Sizing: HALF stake on LVA per the Issue 42 default rule. 0.5u.
CHI at NYL. This is a total-only bet — the spread is a MEDIUM tier PASS (with the injury-dominant flag lit up, so we would not size it anyway). The interesting number is the total: market at 188.7, model at 173.68, edge negative 15.02 on the UNDER at HIGH tier.
Both teams have stars out. Diggins is Out for Chicago. Sabally is Out for New York. When both offenses lose their primary creator, the pace typically drops and the shot quality drops with it. The agent's projected quarter totals sum to 174.0, which lines up almost exactly with the model's 173.68. Full alignment on a 15-point edge with the injury context supporting the direction.
The one caveat is the ongoing totals STRONG bleed I flagged in yesterday's rest-day piece — that market tier is at negative 16.23 percent ROI over 98 picks. But this is HIGH, not STRONG, and the edge magnitude is large enough that the framework still sizes it at half stake.
Sizing: HALF stake on UNDER per default. 0.5u.
CON at IND. Spread CON HIGH, model edge +6.40. Market has IND favored by 11.1 at home (a huge line); model has IND by 4.7. Griner is Out for Connecticut per the injuries index.
This is where the framework filter fires.
The 2025-net-ratings agent — which uses last-season data as a structural read on team quality — comes back with three HIGH-tier quarter edges, all on the IND side: IND Q1 +3.20, IND Q3 +3.30, IND Q4 +4.40. It also flags a same-game-parlay idea called out as "IND dominant game" recommending IND moneyline, IND wins Q4, and the game UNDER as a correlated set.
That is the model-versus-agent conflict pattern in its clearest form. The 2026 model says CON has value at plus 11; the 2025 agent says IND is structurally dominant across three quarters. When these disagree — specifically when the picks file goes one way and the agent has three or more HIGH-tier signals on the opposite side — the historical framework read has been that the agent wins the disagreement.
Sizing: PASS.
The Griner-Out factor may be what is pulling the model toward CON (spread lines are sticky when big injuries hit and the model tries to arb the market-slow-to-adjust window). But Connecticut without Griner facing a healthy Fever team at Gainbridge Fieldhouse is the exact matchup where the 2025 net-rating structure tends to overwhelm the momentary line-value edge.
Total exposure tonight: one unit across two half-stake bets. LVA covers or wins outright on the spread; the CHI-NYL UNDER 188.7 hits. Both need to hit for a net-positive night at these prices.
Framework state check.
Sunday was a rest day. No grades to add. The cumulative record entering tonight is the same as yesterday's Maya piece: spread STRONG 46-41-1 (52.9 percent, +0.93 percent ROI), total STRONG 43-55 (43.9 percent, -16.23 percent ROI). Two more HIGH picks tonight and we begin to see whether the July variance smooths out or stays choppy.
The Tempo do not play tonight. Next game Friday. Jordan will write when there is a game to write about. The Toronto injury picture (Sykes still Out) will be revisited then.
That is the read. Tuesday night, three HIGHs on the card, two get sized, one gets filtered. See you tomorrow with the grades.
